This problem may occur on certain homemade disc from time to time. Use the steps below to try converting the DVD.

1. Try using the “Copy DVD” tab then "to hard disc" option of the program to copy the DVD on to your hard drive.
2. Once completed click the "Copy DVD" tab, and select the "Convert DVD: simple" option.
3. When the Program prompts you to choose the location of the DVD you would like to copy, select the hard drive.
4. When the browser opens make your way to your "My Documents" folder, and find the file where the copied DVD has been stored.
5. Once the copied DVD folder has been opened, you are going to select the first "Video_TS.IFO" file in the list.
6. The DVD will begin processing and will take anywhere from a half hour to and hour depending on the speed of your drive.
7. Once the processing is completed you will be asked to select the format. Select the WMV format and the program will begin its final stages and then create the file.

In some folders there can be doubles of the Video_ts.ifo file. You may need to select the "All Files" option in the bottom right corner of the browser windows to view all the files.

Did this solution work for you. I also have Windows 7 and windows XP Pro and have not been able to get 123DVDCopyGold to work yet. I get the same results as you have described. Ther are no doubles of the Video_ts.ifo and I could not select all files as that was not an option. I would really like to beable to use this product.

I've forwarded the information to have the developer take a look at the problem. This is only a small issue with reading the IFOs data so a fix should be up soon.

Certain homemade disc are recognized by the program as data disc which our software does not backup at this time. There will be a October release to correct this problem with disc that appear as Data instead of video.

Can you pm the license id that needs to be reactivated to me? The license id under this email address still has 3 activations left.

I am having the same problem.  Unfortunately, I'm not all that computer literate.  I, too, have downloaded everything that has been suggested and still get one error code "Unable to open title: Unknown Error Code 1" or "Unable to open title: The title does not contain enough video."  I have had some success, so I haven't complained.  Its just getting harder and harder to use a software that the employee told me was the simpliest DVD backup software on the market.
