1. I am trying to make a copy of a disk from PBS(Public Broadcast System) Its called "French In Action".
It is a video course to learn French
2. Error msg as follows Burn Engine Error
Unable to burn DVD, Unable to acess VIDEO_TS.ifo
3. The error msg occurs after the source disk has been read, the program prepare the data to burn,
then requests a writeable disk. I then insert a Memorex DVD-R blank disk, the prog reads the disk (at least it appears to)
then the msg appears. It asks if I would like to retry, I say yes and the same msg occurs again.
4. I am attempting to copy the entire disk. It has 4 chapters for a total of 2 hrs on the disk.
5. The 123CopyDVD program is version 6.0.0.4.
6. My computer is an HP with 2 built in DVD drives. I would assume they are both HP, but only one can burn DVD's and
it can also burn Light Scribe on the Light Scribe capable disks.

I can't get it to copy either way but it's when I try to do the entire disc that it says unable to burn DVD, unable to access VIDEO_TS.ifo. When I try to do copy movie only I select the drive that it's in and then it goes to the pop up box about the temp file and I click yes and then it goes to the progress screen and just sits there for several minutes and the progress bar doesn't move it says 0% the whole time and then the pop up box appears to say that you need to insert a burnable disc and of course if you to that and click ok it burns a unreadable/unplayable disc. | | Back to Top

In Vista, you can try running the program as administrator by right-clicking on the program, then click choose the administrator option. If this does not work, then you can change the Temp/Output folder to your Desktop or a created folder. | | Back to Top

Also, I do not see how changing the location of the temp folder is going to help if the program will not find the file on the original disc to put into the temp folder. I feel like I"m going around in circles here. | | Back to Top

Please provide the log files using the instructions provided below. We will need the log files to look further into the issue. 1. Click start, and click the “My Computer” button. 2. Once in my computer, double click on the “Local Disk C:” icon, and click on the “Program Files” folder. 3. Once inside the folder, specific to your program (Example: 123Movies2PSP or 123CopyDVD) 4. Click “Attach” on your email client, then locate the log files within the Attach screen. 5. Attach each log file into the reply email, verify that the logs are attached, and click Send. | | Back to Top

What I meant was that I was getting the same message: Unable to burn DVD, Unable to acess VIDEO_TS.ifo. I don't see any log files in the location that you stated. | | Back to Top

Make sure you are following the steps correctly, as the this would be the only location in XP. | | Back to Top

However, there is no log file there so it's just C:\Program Files\123CopyDVD2007\. I do know quiet a bit about computers. I do know how to find what I'm looking for. I don't need the book computer for dummies and I'm getting really frustrated here. | | Back to Top

Can you try using the Search function to locate the logs. You would search for "123CopyDVD001.log" | | Back to Top

If you are using another 123CopyDVD program, then it would not be in the 123CopyDVD2007 program folder. It will be inside a "123" program folder depending on what you are using. If you have the program installed, then you will have a folder titled "123...".
I provided instructions in the previous post to search for the log files if you still cannot locate them. The actual log files will be labeled, "123CopyDVD.Log", which you can have up to 10 log files which range from "123CopyDVD.log" - "123CopyDVD009.Log". If you cannot locate the LOG folder, then I would suggest using the search function from your start menu, and search for "123CopyDVD.log" or "123CopyDVD001.log" | | Back to Top

This would be an issue with most new DVDs, which would contain newer encryption and therefore be impossible to troubleshoot the issue. | | Back to Top
