There are always issues with different DVDs, as they will contain different encryptions depending on when the DVD was made and the company. If you do not have sound on the DVD, then try changing the audio track by pressing the Audio button on your DVD remote, as it is not detecting the main audio.
If you are still experiencing other problems, please provide the title and ISBN of the DVD you are having trouble with backing up, since most problems are DVD specific. | | Back to Top

It was a commercial DVD that the kids will be watching (Wiz of OZ) and I know they will get it all goobered up as ususal. My DVD player is really old but my girlfriend was able to play it without any issues. I took it to her house and asked if she would try it out. I will invest in a new DVD player if needed. I will try a few more and verify that but it sounds like it is the players issue. Sorry to have bothered everyone but they may want to know if they use an older DVD player. I never would have thought that... Thanks for all your help!! | | Back to Top

Just be careful of Samsung, Bose and certain Blue-Ray players which will not read the disc at all or play them back scrambled. | | Back to Top

One issue may be--whenever I open my 123Copy DVD09 it states it is not responding. I've used it like this since I upgraded to the 09 version from the original 08 version. Could that have anything to do with it? I've burned many movies under these conditions & have uninstalled & reinstalled my original copy, then upgraded.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated! | | Back to Top

Date Joined Nov 2009 Total Posts : 7 | Posted Today 7:27 AM (GMT -8) | | 6.0.0.4----I have not been able to resolve any of the problems as of yet. This morning when I tried to burn a DVD, about mid-way it stopped & my computer shut down. I then received a message that the shortcut of 123DVD I had on my desktop (that I use to access it) was not working--part of it was missing! So I deleted the program, reinstalled my original version of 08' & installed the update when it popped up to 09', then installed the plug-in from booya. The first DVD I burned I could only use the "movie only" version but it did work. The second one I'm trying to burn "Flash of Genius", it seems to copy fine but the first time it started to burn it stopped about a third of the way through & I received a message of a runtime error. The second time I received the same message the moment it came to burning the DVD. I'm running Windows Vista--which I literally HATE--so not sure if that's the problem. Is this going to always be a problem--I never had these issues before on XP.
If unable to resolve, questioning if obtaining the 10' version would be better? Is there a way to download it or upgrade to it or do I need to purchase the software at a local retailer?
Thank you, just really frustrated! | | Back to Top
